| So, a mysterious promo airs of a guy in a long black coat promising to debut on the night after Elimination Chamber. Instant thought was the return of Taker. However, something about the boots and coat made me question that. And I just wonder...... (I know it's a fake, but it is pretty cool) | |

| Normally I would say "Bullshit, Sting is never coming to WWE"
But seeing this air the very night after we see Booker T and Kevin Nash also appear at the same time, who both left TNA at the same time that Sting did, this actually makes so much perfect common sense right now.
Also, the fact that WWE is currently so steadfastly PG basically erases about 70% of Borden's prior criticisms about the company.

| Especially at Wrestlemania, when this could actually be considered an actual kayfabe threat to the streak.
Most years, you never feel like Taker's streak is in jeopardy anymore, because none of the matchups are seen by the fans of as much of a epic occasion if the streak were to end, but this could make it feel like it's more possible than years past.
Also, since Borden's other major criticism was that "other fed guys" are not booked to be over as much as they may deserve to be because of WWE's feeling that anything else and everyone else is the minor leagues, I can also see that to him, a promise of the Taker streak break may have been too tempting for him to resist, knowing they MUST make a big deal out of that possibility.

| And now having watched the actual promo on Youtube...
There's no fucking way that's not Sting. It has to be.
Even WWE isn't stupid enough to show guy in a black coat, and black boots, in a video that features both lightning, rain and howling wind and not actually deliver on that.
Even WWE has to know that if they did this and then pisstake it as a joke, they will lose a lot of fans and a lot of their precious potential dollars to be made from it. That and WWE also knows i'm sure that smart internet fans will be able to know whether or not he truly is at the event on the date advertised or not before hand.
Also, I have to say that as a joke, it's not worth doing or they would have done it long ago, which again leads me to think this is legitimately a Sting promo.
It just feels like all the cards are truly in place for Sting to be there. The only part of me that is still jaded about this is just that it took this long for it to happen. Thankfully this is happening before Sting becomes too old for this to work out.

| Well, I'm not going to come out and say "its definitely Sting" because there may be an element of wishful thinking in joining the dots. But I do think its possible, and yes the debut of Booker and Nash may make it even more likely.
However, I don't think Sting will break Taker's streak. I'm not sure Vince would even book the most visible face of WCW to come in and take out his most successful "character" of all time. I do think Sting might earn himself a draw though, which would be enough to get him over massively.
Then again, this could all simply be Taker returning.

| I definitely don't think he will break the streak, but I can see it putting alot more fans on the edge of their seats thinking he might.
In the end, I think that's all that matters for it to work.

| Man, I so would reveal who those were, but I've decided to leave it up to the discretion of them as to, if and when they wanna come clean about it Or, the better answer being that I don't wanna step on their toes if they plan on doing anything else with the accounts or something. I will say though that after I checked it out, I was sorta amused that two different people decided to have a go at it.

| One thing's for sure: Sting at Wrestlemania in Atlanta? That would be pretty fitting. | |

| Dear lord...dear sweet lord.... The Joker-Sting promo is excellent tho, even if it is fake. I would love to see Taker vs Sting or just Sting in general. He has always been a fave of mine, from blonde haired spikey through Crow I've always rated him. And, like I said at work, it'll be nice to see somebody who isn't basic CAW material! | |

| Im hoping it's Sting as well. To help stir the plot even more, the NY Daily News actually reported that Sting did sign a one year contract. This hasnt been confirmed yet, but it also hasnt been denied by anyone either. You can look at that on the link below. http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/even-more-on-22111-ny-daily-news-reports-sting-to-wwe-122681I could just imagine it..... The camera starts to pan up...black boots, trench coat, huge pop as it passes by the scorpion logo, even bigger pop when you see his face. Then.... "IT'S SHOWTIME FOLKS!" Then he nails the camera with the baseball bat. Thunderous pop! I only wonder if there is any significance of the cabin. and also....I think the world will be let down if it's anybody but Sting. I know Sting has openly put down the idea of working in the WWE and for Vince, but dear lord...the people want to see it happen and I think he should at least give us a year. | |

| The move to PG Television, people like Shawn Michaels finding a way to work there and being respected for his views, the fact he's coming to the end of his career and looking for the last shot at glory........oh and a bloody HUGE amount of money, might make him change his mind! | |
