CXA Podcast?

Hey. I was thinking. How many of you guys have recording and voice chatting equipment or ability on your computer, or could use a program to talk live?

Because I had this idea that it would be interesting to try some kind of a table-ish podcast discussion between a few of us about various topics or something that we could put together and then I could record it and upload it somewhere.

Just to try it out and see how that goes. Just thought it would be really cool if we could put together a show of some kind.

I'd be interested, but obviously depending on how we structure it and things! But yeah, I'm happy to be involved!

I'm actually thinking of the format and topic being similar to GamingRing's podcast. About the viewpoint of gaming, and wrestling, and things from that general perspective, the way they discuss that general field.

And because honestly, I tend to think that our discussion would be a little better in some key ways. A bit more well-spoken and interesting than their method of discussion, and probably somewhat livelier.. Because I tend to think that the way we talk, is a little structured, smarter and to the points. But that's just my thinking. I'm sure knowing each other as we do, it would come off pretty well.

But, yeah, it would be the same format, except for our personalities would make it very much our own take on Wrestling, Gaming, and other culture things coming out from that spectrum.

I can say that I personally would LOVE to have Shand and Chio on board for this , too as well as you Rob, and anyone else who'd like to show.

I've been using Adobe Soundbooth for a month now getting the hang of it so I'm down if need be, my and i were thinking about doing a podcast about wrestling too so Ive been prepping for when we can sit down and do it.

Well I know my Mac has both a webcam and microphone built in, and I can record into either iMovie or Garageband. Assuming that in Garageband I could save as an MP3, and in iMovie as a Mpeg video file. So although I've never done it, I suppose it would be possible.

How many of you guys can use Skype? Because that's one thing I was looking into for talking live to each other.

Anyone know any better video conferencing stuff, lemme know. Because i'm new to this too, though i'm sure I could figure it out.

I've no idea about Skype. Never used it.

If I know I can get most people on board, I'll basically look into and research all possible options and share it in a thread, at length. That's just one of the main options i'm thinking of.

Skype's pretty straight forward, used it when Bethan was in the US. It's very similar to MSN, if that helps at all!
