Just the read the results from this week's Smackdown taping.

The show featured Sin Cara .v. Heath Slater. Apparently, Cara botched several moves during the match, and they had to go back and reshoot the finish immediately after the match.

But then apparently someone backstage decided the match was SO crap that later in the night, they came out and shot the entire match again from scratch.

He's not winning much love backstage, Mr No Face.

Ouch... Well, WWE is a world class, or THE world class pro-wrestling company. As the company at the top of the heap they are right to expect a degree of good work. If Sin Cara isn't up to scratch, and doesn't seem to be able to grasp the WWE way of working, then it isn't the best company for him to work for and should go back to more familiar territory?

That said, WWE have developmental promotions so you'd think they'd bung him in OVW or FCW for a few months to polish his craft. If they're not going to use him properly then he may be better off going elsewhere anyway.

There's still hope though. There have been worse wrestlers than Sin Cara that have become pretty successful at WWE!

I give him the rest of the week.

Let's not forget, Mistico is a Triple H acquisition. He's going to give that guy as many chances as he can. Of course, if worst comes to worst but they want to keep the character going, they've got somebody (Hunico) waiting in the wings to don that mask again.

Still, this is all very disappointing.

Ditto to that. How much is he on? That might also have some say in what happens to him.

I'm honestly surprised he wasn't outright fired months ago.

Let's look realistically at how the backstage WWE works, if all of the first-hand accounts and tell-all biographies are to be believed in their agreed sentiments.

In WWE, what other people say about how they perceive your worth is the be-all and end all of your career. The more people chime in to complain about you, the more higher managment hates your guts.

Vince McMahon and management is never shy about telling you what they think, and i'm sure that Sin Cara, is quite possibly, insulted, sworn at, disparaged, and verbally beaten down on a daily basis at this point.

That HAS to also account for at least 40% of his performance suffering lately, as well.

When you're the sole reason that money is being spent on re-recording footage and taking up valuable film, I can't imagine how many people backstage are actively mounting pressure on everyone else to throw him out on his ass.

Sadly, even though Sin Cara is Triple H's pet project and vouching for him to the moon, there's a point where even Triple H realizes he stands to lost respect from everyone else the more chances Cara gets, and it's gotta snap, soon. Especially since i'm sure Sin Cara's stress is also becoming Triple H's stress.

A lot of management's mentality seems to be that the truth lies in how you deal with this stress. And that it's all some kind of "test" that either you'll rise above it and shock everyone with your brilliance in a flash of anger, or you'll fall deeper into the cursed pit of second guessing yourself and fucking up.

To say that Sin Cara has been doing the latter, is an understatement. Of course, i'm sure this leads to everyone complaining about him consistently.

That and i'm sure it must really hurt to not only be threatened with not only termination, but replacement. Surely he knows that if he leaves and a new Sin Cara continues to perform, he'll have to live with the fact that every day, that could have been him living his WWE life in that outfit

Sadly, rather than adapting to the style, Sin Cara seems to just be breaking down mentally. Even committing the grievous error of letting the audience know what he thinks, when he's been doing things like putting his hands on his hips, or shaking his head in front of an audience after the ends of his matches, as the camera has clearly picked up several times.

However, I don't mean to say that I'm bashing him. I'm really just saying I feel sad for him. Incredibly sad, because this is clearly really affecting him mentally, and I'm getting kind of worried for him.

To me, it almost seems as if this is sort of spiraling him into a depression, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is.

Putting myself in his shoes, I would be really upset if I was him, since he seems to be trying to make this work, only to not be dealing with the stress, to the point where it's affecting his work to the point that I've never before seen from any WWE athlete before.

I feel sorry for him like i've never felt from anyone in WWE before. :/

Be that as it may though, i'm not just surprised that he's still employed by WWE, but that he has been up to now.

Apprently the original Sin Cara has been "sent home" following the Smackdown taping, and Hunico will now play Sin Cara going forward. So it looks like a "future endeavour" is on its way.

Again, totally not surprised.

I actually WAS surprised that he hadn't used up his last straw already. So this makes all kinds of sense.

But you know what?

When it comes down to it, this can be seen as WWE being at fault at least a little, now that I think about it.

I mean, think about this. Maybe they rushed Mystico a little too fast.

Maybe they should have put him in FCW for a while and given him 3-4 months to learn the style, instead of throwing him into the deep end of the pool.

Actually I think a more apt metaphor would be that it was like perhaps WWE throwing a baby cub off a cliff and expecting him to climb back up.

Fun fact: It was apparently Hunico who was wearing the mask for the Heath Slater debacle.

Yes, I read that as well. Perhaps the mask is cursed. Perhaps whoever you put under that hood is guaranteed a botchfest. Very Happy

The mask does seem a bit cursed! It seems a shame because, from what I heard before he came, Sin Cara was better than Mysterio (even the old Mysterio before he became a bit one note).
