Just in case the show ends up being a little late.....

I just thought I'd take the time to give my personal thoughts on the "deadline" for the CXA Reunion show...

Personally, I think the show has been coming along pretty damn well, all things considered.

Whatever delays we might have had up to this point, in my opinion, have been for the better. I think the generally relaxed attitude we've had for putting the show together has been, pretty much, to it's benefit.

I can personally attest that the relaxed, no-rush attitude towards the CXA Reunion has made it fun for most of us. I think. I can't speak for everyone, but I know that's how i've kind of felt.

Even being mostly preoccupied with other projects i've been working on, I've still found a good amount of time to be able to casually put things in, and i've been feeling the show coming together. Chris and David and Myron and Rob especially. Obviously most of this has been getting done. I find myself rivited by the journeys of Chio and The Reaper, and the side elements coming into it.


Anyway, the point i'm getting at and the direction i'm heading with this is that, this, to me, hasn't felt like the kind of project where nothing is getting done. On the contrary, I find it interesting and rolling along, at a leasurly pace.

It hasn't felt stressful, and I think that's what's eventually going to make it turn out well.

That having been said.... I know David wanted to shoot for the 20th. That's coming in only a few short days. Most of us are still coming into the home stretch on this.

So basically, it feels to me as if we're about... estimatedly... maybe about nearly 80% there. I know we probably should be at about 98% there, by now... So I just wanted to give my honest optomistic feelings that we're gonna get this done soon.

Maybe we might not be ready by the 20th. But I think we're doing well, regardless.

So I felt I just wanted to say this: Maybe it might take us a few days or a week longer than the 20th. But if we keep going at this pace, I still have a feeling that we'll have a show worth rememberance, and that's nothing to be ashamed of at all.

If we get this done on the 23rd, or even the 26th or something.... At least I think we'll end up with an accomplishment to read and look at that we can say "Wow. That Reunion show... We did it. Look at that." and be proud.

Just in case we don't get it done on the "deadline", it feels to me like we're still almost there, even though we have all these other things going on in our lives. And that's cool. I've been enjoying putting my spare time into this. And I think we'll all be happy by the end result.


And I want to thank everyone. Coming up with the idea of us collaborating on this project as David and Myron have had, was a bit of a gamble. But I think it's been totally worth it. After all, slow and steady wins the race. It's kind of like making a video game. No one wants to rush development, but they want to get all the details just right and make sure it's polished before release. I feel we're accomplishing that. It's been so cool working on this with you guys.

P.S: I'm putting the finishing touches on a roleplay that i'll finish up tomorrow that I think is gonna provide a really surprising and really cool twist on my match for the show, that i've been building up to for a while now.

I can't wait until people see the surprise twist I have in mind. You'll love it, I think. heh.

Thanks Mike. I agree with you - the show has been developing well, and leaving it that but longer has allowed the stories to develop more, which is what this was always about.

So I'm ready to work on it this weekend, but if it does overspill by a few days, it won't matter. We won't spoil the ship for a ha'peth of tar.

Thats good, the last few nights I've been trying to sit down and do bits but end up asleep at the laptop. Was preparing for a late one saturday or sunday!

Reminds me of why i'm happily no longer admining e-feds :p

The amount of time I used to spend admin'ing TXA & writing shows at the beginning... it's no surprise pretty much everyone in our whole community got burnt out at one stage or another. Specially at CWA where most of us produced our fair share of novel-length shows!

On topic, more than likely I won't finish everything by Sunday. I will try but yeah, it might spill over a bit, but not by long. Gonna trty and bang out another RP I've got some ideas in the pipeline now as soon as I get them down on paper (or on laptop) I should be ready.

To be quite honest it seems very unlikely I'll get all I want done by Sunday, as I've got a few more roleplays I want to bust out before I start the match. Worry not though, I'm pushing to have those finished within the weekend, and then I'll give my all to the main event.

So yeah, it may go past the 20th, but I think once you read my newest RPs you'll agree with me that it's worth it. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm really excited to reveal the final pieces of the Chio-Melanie-Soudouki story.

I also have a lot I have to do. I mean it may take me three days straight to write my match. I have a few stray RP's yet to finish up. And write the match. Which is going to be surprising... how surprising? Stay tuned.

A little update from me:


Worked all day yesterday on finishing up a RP. A very important roleplay in fact that sets up the final build-up to the match of which I'm excited and putting a lot of effort into.

This final pre-match Roleplay is mostly completed (and contains a surprising announcement), and when I can get it looked over for the sake of accuracy, it will be time for that to be posted.

I'm also just about ready to start writing out the full bits I have to do, which would end up being pretty complicated and may take a few days. (2 or 3 at the least.)

For comparasion, the mega RP i'm almost done with and almost ready to post, took me about 7 hours.

If I need a break from that, there will be one or two segments (for the show) that I may also write bits of simultaneously. Those won't take nearly as long as the match will.

Lastly, I'm gonna wait to get ot the Rocket match notes as long as I can until all of my other stuff is done. Once i'm satisfied that i've completed everything BUT that, the last thing i'm going to do, is take what notes there are for the Rocket match (whether I hear from Steve or not. If so I'll put his suggestions and spots along with my notes. but if not I'll still take a few notes for the match spots myself) and shoot it on over to Shand.

Just a note: Don't expect that to be a 5-star or anything. But hopefully at least the finish will be entertaining enough for the match to be worth it. I know Shand said he'll make a match out of it, and i'm totally fine with whatever gets pulled together for it.

The way it's shaping up, I'm putting all my effort and more into this Women's match, anyway. It is going to be astounding. I can PROMISE that. And to be honest, that is the thing I was really most excited to do, anyway.

Like I said before, if the end result is a better show, then I don't mind it being "late". However, i dont really want things to drag on forever. It's unlikely I'll have masses of time during the week to stitch it all together, so what I'm now going to say is that we set a new definite and firm date for the show of next Sunday. If stuff can be with me by Friday, I'll get the show up on the Sunday.

I'm working steadily, so I am pretty confident that i'll be ready by then.

Maybe in at least 3 days from now. That's my honest estimation for myself. the next 3 days, ....I hope. Four If I've underestimated how big the Women's match will get.

Yeah, I really didn't want to delay this any more than we already have, but at this point there's no way I'll have the remaining roleplays and the main event done by tonight. I'm just thankful that we're not doing this for an actual e-fed.

I'll get the rest done as soon as I can regardless. If things go as planned, I should be ready to go way before the Friday.

Works for me, I've just ran out of time this week, but I have the first part of next week to really piece things together and finish what I need to.

I need a few more nights. Should have it all done by Wednesday at my current leisurely pace.

I've got a couple more I need to do this week. Want to possibly do a final Cyde brothers one, and I've spoken to Matthew about doing something around the Shand/Forgotten Warrior story to close that out before the show.

I've got the 24/7 Endurance trophy thing pretty much sorted Dave, I'll fire it over tonight. Should have the match done in a few days
