Now I've only seen the results, rather than the show, so people can jump in with their thoughts. It's nice to see that Santino got to retain his title. There must have been a worry, for some, that he would drop it straight away. But with Ziggler at ringside it feels like they might go somewhere with this. A WM rematch, maybe even with Swagger involved? Certainly gets another decent match on the card.

Less sure what they think they can get out of McIntyre and Kali. They still seem to be reluctant to give the former anything meaty and, beyond the occassional gimmick match, Kali just doesn't cut it.

Looks like DS was right. Ez 'Big Bad Jobber' Jackson looks like a man who's on his way...

Another WM seems to be in offing with R-Truth and Kodi against the champs.

What's happening with Miz? They just don't seem to be doing anything with him, which is a crying shame given his talent. Miz keeps popping up on TV but I can't see how he fits into the bigger picture. He'll be part of a six man R v SD for sure, if it happens, but surely he should have more than that?

Apparently from what i've heard, Triple H is sick of the Miz and wants him gone from the company for whatever reason, so he is trying to make him frustrated and want to leave.

I think a lot of it has to do with management looking down on him lately for a string of recent matches where he's blowing spots, (even though a lot of these look to be miscommunications between BOTH guys, yet Miz is getting the heat for it), and the feeling seems to be that he's never going to improve more than he had during that short spurt leading up to the matches with Cena, which, Trips and the company seem to believe that he completely wasted.

Again, personally to say I disagree with that view is an understatement. I think Miz has done a phenomenal job in bettering himself since his initial run in the company and has done literally everything WWE has ever asked him to do, and more.

But this is WWE. The land of "If someone else even slightly talks about you behind your back or has slight doubts about anything with you, your credibility with everyone falls through a hole in the roof, whether you deserve the critisism or not."

And now it looks like Miz is that guy with the invisible "kick me" sign on his back.

If it is Trips and it is personal heat then it's disappointing. I had thought we'd moved on from that. For a man who stands out in the ring and talks about protecting the brand he's already had beefs with Jericho in the past and is now in danger of doing the same here.

I'm not saying that Miz is on the same level as Jericho, either in ring or on the mike but, from what I've seen he's a useful worker who has a very good prescence on the mike. If he has had some recent flops then you need to look at both guys, get it sorted and move on.

When put in that context, a personl dislike, it does make a lot of sense. It does remind me of something that was written about Mark Henry. When they signed him he was on a huge contract or something. They didn't think he was good enough so they decided to book him badly to get him to leave. Not book him at all. Henry just looked at the large pay-check coming into his account and smiled!

I hope it does get sorted for Miz.

It would seem that it's more of a thing where his evaluation is "this guy is failing at carrying his weight around here". Which, yeah, I just don't see.

Last I saw of the Miz in a big capacity was him being sent on various promotional media appearances. Which he proceeded to go far and above and really push his unique brash confrontational childish heel persona and milk it gloriously.

I loved seeing him show up on cooking shows and whine about how he was being pushed around, screaming his head off at kids at a Nickelodeon Awards show, and before that, being the guy that probably promoted WWE '12 more than anyone, and his awesome rivalry with Cory from THQ.

I think for better or worse, he brought out some good stuff from John Cena, even. But again, his last few matches have contained some pretty egregious goof-ups and he's honestly seemed a bit frazzled since then.

Probably not his fault, though. It's almost like his recent missteps and botches have looked like the negativity getting to him, somehow.

I do want to see him pull out of this, but when your new boss is flat out telling you you're worthless and having your role reduced, he's probably making mistakes now because of it. Really want to see him turn this around, because I really like Miz and want to see him be a very long time major WWE player.

Agree with the last line. Maybe if he's a bit jaded, in ring, they could give him an 'injury' that lets him work on being frazzled. At the same time he can still work the mike, showing up now and again. Doing commentary.

I guess there's the other thought that he just needs to keep going and get through it in the ring. I do think he's earned himself a bit of slack with the work he's done, like you say.

I completely agree with the view that Miz is fully capable of being a phenomenal performer, and that he worked as hard as anyone ever has to improve and perform at the top level. As mike says, he was everywhere and into everything last year, and he carried it all exceptionally well. He deserves to be rated near the top of the company.

Personally, I'm not sure how much faith I put in the notion of a personal vendetta with HHH, not least because as soon as anyone appears to be slipping, it's always brought out as the default excuse. I honestly just think it's a natural peak and valley situation, nd he's going through a rough patch- possibly because he's burnt out from last year. The fact is that he HAS botched spots and matches, and whether it's miscommunication or not (and it may be) it happens have always occurred when he's in the ring. So he's probably had a telling off or two, and yes it's shaken his confidence a bit so it becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

But even the best guys have rough spots. A few years ago HHH had a year or two when he sucked in the ring. The thing to do is prove to the company that you can get your head down and work through it until you come out the other side.

Plus, at this moment they don't need him at the main event level. So he's floating down until he's needed again. Happened to bigger than hm before.

I don't think the WWE have given up on Miz. He's getting too much TV time and they are making too much play of his "main event last year, not on the card this year" angle not to do anything with it. But i do think they may be testing his resolve to make the point they arent happy with the spots he blew. He'll be at Mania, probably leading the RAW v Smackdown match, and if he gets his head down and works through I think he'll be fine.

PS: good to see you back, Mike.

Yeah, Mike, forgot to say that earlier.

I know what you mean. It just seems like he's in a sort of wilderness at the moment. I'm not in the know enough to know the reason, whether it is just botched moves or whether Trips doesn't like him. But it's not like he's been caught with his lines on his hands...Wink

I hadn't really gone anywhere. But I've been massively excited about current projects I have going on right now.

In fact, since we're on the subject with Miz of getting back on the horse and learning to ride it again....

You have probably known that my confidence and belief in myself with projects over the last year or couple have been.... not very good, to say the least.

But lately, i'm really excited about having several things on my plate to finish up right now... Three things in fact, and that I finally feel truly motivated again to follow my heart in doing things I want to do, again.

I'm currently in the process of working on 2 video series, including a big game review video that I am very excited to do, as well as working on an adventure-style video game project with me and my best friend together collaborating.

So if a lazy doofus like me who has been in the bad end of depression and inability to do anything confidently for the last 3 years can get back on the horse, I kinda hope Miz can.

Besides... Miz isn't the one that needs to worry about being de-pushed as much as Mark Henry right now. For as much as i've bagged on him in the past, he has worked hard, and now WWE is down on him as well.

Yes, I noticed Henry's depush. Apparently that one WAS because of an interest Vince took. It seems that when Henry got injured last year, everyone else wanted to give him time off to recover. Vince however was annoyed that he'd "chosen" to get injured while they were pushing him, and made him work every date he was booked for.

In turn Henry wasn't pleased about that, and rumours began to surface that he wouldn't renew his contract this year. That then lead to the de-push. He isn't on the Mania card either. However, Henry has since been heavily promoted on WWE.com when he was inducted into that sports hall of fame, and he got a good win on Smackdown over Zeke Jackson, so perhaps he's come to terms with them.

On your return, glad you're motivated. Now you need to maintain that and see these things through.
