How to unassign unwanted Titles like the 3rd Tag Team Belts in Universe

It has been reported that there's a bug (or a design mistake) that even though you obviously can select at best only two set of Tag Team Titles for your Universe (let's say you choose the World Tag Team Titles for Raw and the WWE Tag Team Titles for SmackDown), you are still forced to give the third set of tag team belts in the game (in our example the Unified Tag Team Titles) to a tag team that is part of either Raw or SmackDown.

You can't assign them to superstars outside of the Universe and you can't vacate them. So while the official sets of belts would be the two you selected, the other set of belts would still be floating in your Universe

To get rid of this issue, a workaround has been discovered:

1) Find 2 Superstars that are NOT originally defaulted to Raw or SmackDown and that you DON'T want to appear in your Universe.

2) Go to Edit Superstar and change their roster to either Raw or SmackDown.

3) Make them a Tag Team. Call them "Vacant" or whatever you want to.

4) Give them the set of Tag Team Titles that you don't want to appear in your Universe. (in our example, the Unified Tag Team Titles)

5) Go back to Edit Superstar and revert them to Default. This way the game will change them back to their original brand but they will still have the titles, so they won't appear in your Universe anymore.

NB: In this example I called rosters "Raw" and "SmackDown". Of course since you can change shows to your likings, they can be called whatever. Refer to them as "Monday Roster" and "Friday Roster".

Also, keep in mind that the following are also flaws in Universe that may require workarounds:


Free Agents will still appear liberally in Universe as surprise opponants, and the like.

I'm not sure what the answer to this is, although I recall hearing that there's a way to create a brand and stick them on there, and not have that brand selected in thjat show's "category of guys to pull from" roster section.

Also, if you unlock all the titles, they all have to be stuck on someone. Titles can be vacated in Exhibition, unfortunately they can't be vacated in Universe, so you're going to have people use the alternate belts and the novelty belts floating around whether you like it or not.

If they aren't officially "set" in your brand editor, they won't be tracked or ranked, but those title holders will still show up wearing them constantly. Since there are over 20 unlockable belts, it starts to feel a little devaluaing when 50% of your roster is a champion of some kind.

The most common fixes for this, obviously, is to knowingly stick these belts on someone that you've specifically set not to appear in this mode.

Also, the two alternate DLC's of Classic Edge and Classic Christian are also not allowed to be used in Universe and aren''t tracked and apparently can't show up (becuase they are doubles of the real guys). So, you can also just stick as many titles on those two as you can, to get them out of Universe as well.

Those are just some helpful hints to control Universe a bit more for your liking, so that everyone and their grandma isn't a champion of some kind.
