This is incredibly heartbreaking and maybe even a little upsetting to watch.

You've been warned.

But if you want to see the sad reality of what happened to him, then watch.

In many ways this is heartbreaking and tragic. To see someone who had as much talent as Scott Hall, who was at that level, fall so far as his appearance at that Indy show is horribly sad. Obviously he had battles from the start. I didn't know about the history of alcoholism in his family, or the murder charge.

However, it may seem odd to say this, but in a way I actually also found some of It encouraging. Previously the only footage we'd really seen of Hall was that Indy appearance, where he was an incoherent slurring wreck. I'd thought that was pretty much his normal operating level. But actually he's shown in this interview that when he's able to stay sober he can still be intelligent, lucid, and coherent. The old Scott Hall is still in there.

I'm also encouraged that he has found something to focus on in mentoring his son's training. I'm hoping that having that to work toward will give him a reason to stay straight for longer. His son has a chance. He's a very big lad, and with some experience and a little more bulk, could be a real prospect. If Hall can help him, maybe in turn he can help himself.

Incidentally, a word on that Indy promoter. He had no business putting Hall into the ring, and his attitude stinks. He smacks of the old Victorian freak show promoters. The business can do without assholes like that.

Unfortunately, from what I've read.... I don't know if this is 100% accurate...

But it seems as if his son has left Hall and the two are no longer on speaking terms, which happened soon after the documentary was just being set to air.

If it's true then it's yet another art imitating life type moments. I hope it isn't true.

I have to agree with DS. The fact that he's still eloquent, intelligent and is able to rationlise what's happening is a good sign. As horrible as it is to see what's happened to him physically - he was a talented, athletic and good looking guy back in his day - the chat is a favourable thing.
