Ok, so let's assume:

1) Monday night is indeed a work

2) the double taping results posted are genuine. So Punk is in the match, and the Cena stipulation stands.

3) Punk has signed a new contract

What would YOU book. Nothing is off the table unless it's utterly out of the question currently (so Punk won't show up on TNA, but could in ROH) or impossible (Owen Hart vs Punk at Mania). Let your imagination run riot.

I would book Punk to win the belt.

Cena get's "fired" and uses this time to heal up some minor nagging injuries that have been plaguing him. Punk runs as a heel champ for awhile. Maybe feuding with Del Rio at Summerslam. I'm the MITB winner will have cashed in at some point. Maybe A-Ry with Miz screwing him over before he can win it.

Cena comes back around Royal Rumble time feeling refreshed. The crowd (hopefully) are happy to see him back after six months of heel champions, Cena retains the belt I'd say at the Rumble actually or possibly in the EC and is ready to face The Rock at Mania.

This way Cena doesn't get stale and when he comes back ppl will hopfully be back to cheering him a bit more. Punk gets a decent run (something he does deserve) and maybe perhaps we see Punk vs Austin at Mania as well.

What about Punk's promise to leave the company? Would you just have him say he was holding a gun to McMahon's head over a new contract, and once he became champ, Vince caved?

oh right.

Well, we still dont know for sure if Punk is staying. He still might actually be leaving.

If he's legit leaving for awhile, then Cena retains and none of this matters lol.

If he's staying and has secretly resigned another contract. I'd still have him keep his word about leaving with the belt.

To keep up with that, I'd have Punk do vignettes with the belt from Ring of Honor and one from New Japan. Maybe if I was really feeling ballsy, TNA, but there are some personal issues there so I probably wouldn't. Maybe even have a few with him lounging around at his house enjoying his time off as a champion. Basically anywhere but the actual WWE.

Vince finally breaks down and offers him a "contract" with the stuff he wants and eventually Punk returns to TV with the belt.

Or Punk wins and stays gone, Vince brings out a new belt design, and holds a tournament to crown the new champion. Del Rio wins the tournament and is crowned the new world champion, probably at Night of Champions. Then Punk comes back like wtf? I'm the champion! A deal is made that if Punk wants to remain the sole champion, he has to come back and face Del Rio. Then Punk vs Del Rio at Summerslam to crown the new champion. Punk goes over....maybe he deals with Del Rio again at Survivor Sereies or whatever there calling the september/october area ppv. But Punk is made to look strong until Cena comes back to challenge him for the belt.

Cena vs Punk happens at the Rumble. Stone Cold is the special guest referee. The match is badass, Cena kicks out of the G2S and Punk is like...holy crap! What do i gotta do to win? so he goes to get a chair, Austin stops him. Punk flips him off. Boom Stunner! Cena gets the win.

This way were ready again for Cena vs The Rock. And the dream match of Punk vs Austin is on the way.

Ok, I'd do the following:

Punk wins the match, and walks out as champion. Cena is fired.

WWE plays it straight, and handles it as though they are gone.

WWE does nothing about the world title situation the night following the PPV, promising that the WWE legal Department are in negotiation with Punk's lawyers over securing back WWE property.

Meanwhile, they show a recorded promo from John Cena saying he's sorry he let the fans down, but he has to accept the conditions of the match.

Over the next week, they stay silent

The Sunday before the next RAW, CM Punk posts a Youtube video in which he shoots on WWE and says he fully intends to keep the title. He told the WWE the condition, and they made the match, so they belt is his.

On the following RAW, WWE announce that the two MITB will face off. The winner gets a shot at the WHC, which will be defended on both shows until the situation with the WWE title is resolved.

At the end of that week, Punk announces via Twitter and Youtube, and via the ROH website that he intends to appear at an ROH show with the belt.

Punk makes his appearance, and shoots on WWE.

WWE plays this as though their legal department is fighting ROH to get the footage removed and a cease and desist order preventing Punk from showing up again with their belt.

There follows a month of back and forth during which Punk puts over ROH and the WWE's attitude towards guys from the Indys. He talks about hwo guys like Evan Bourne and Daniel Bryan had to hide who they were because they were indy guys and not WWE made.

We now start a WWE/ROH feud and cross promotion, much like the old 1997 ECW one that they actually did right.

Eventually, Punk offers the WWE an olive branch. He will appear on RAW for one night only and hand back the belt as his point has been made.

He appears, HHH comes out. A bunch of ROH boys jump the barrier and take out HHH. Punk says "Fooled you twice" and leaves.

HHH and the WWE have had enough. They offer Punk whatever matches he wants in order to come back and give them their belt. Punk says he wants ROH talent to get a shot so offers this - ROH .v. WWE on a PPV. If WWE wins, he will return for a match against their pick for the WWE title. If not, he keeps it. ROH talent get a couple of wins when former ROH guys like Danielson turn on the WWE.

The PPV turns out to be a draw between ROH and WWE. More WWE .v. ROH feuding happens with WWE guys appearing at ROH shows.

A final solution is offered for Survivor Series. ROH .v. WWE in a Survivor Series match. If WWE wins, Punk must defend the title against WWE's choice of opponent.

WWE wins when Taker returns to lead team WWE

Punk wonders who his opponent will be. Cena returns.

Match is a classic until Punk looks to have it won.

Glass shatters, Austin attacks Punk. Cena wins the title.

And then we build to Austin .v. Punk at Mania.
