How to kick off WWE Universe mode with all the good stuff without waiting for it to build up.

I just read this was the case...

If you don't want to wade through run-in's and attacks for WWE Universe to set up your cutscenes and you wanna get things started off with it tracking your rivalries immediately, here's what ya do...

Just go into My WWE before you start Universe (or at any time really), and set ALL of the rivalries and friendships the way you want them to start occuring, first. Then start playing.

Apparently most cutscenes and match surprises aside from random interferences, are all dependent on the rivalries mode. Basically, set your friends, and enemies, wind it up and watch it go.

Excellent. Thanks for the imformation. I didn't fancy all the random runs ins. I could have tolerated them, but what you described sounds much better.

The only downside to this method I can see is obviously that doing it this way, gets rid of that cool element of randomness and surprise on who is going to be your friend and who isn't.

But again, I suppose that just comes down to preference. Have the game surprise you, or book it yourself down to the letter, and make it do what you want?

That leads me to think Universe can be enjoyed one of two ways:

1. As a game that evolves around you and surprises you.
2. As a game where you call the shots and play booker.

As you play though, won't the game change friendships and rivalries itself? So you set it up exactly how you want it to start, then let the game take over.

True, it will.

But you can always override everything if you want to and basically tell the game "No, I don't want Randy Orton here, I want Triple H here!" at every step.

So it's sorta like career mode or GM mode. It works either way you want it to.

Aside from turning John Cena full heel and basically ensuring R Truth never works again (I'll free agent him) I'm going to let the game decide naturally.
