| FUCK. What the hell did they do to this?!?
Custom themes come out insanely loud now. Like, i'm talking jump out of your seat, speaker blowingly loud.
I have at least 60 playlists of music themes.... and now I might have to actually go into an audio MP3 editor and turn the volume WAY down INDIVIDUALLY on every single MP3, re-save every single one, re-burn every single one, and RE-assign every single one in the game, too.
That's like, 60 times 4, with all of the work I have to do now.
And yes, that means that everything in that WCW pack also is now going to be insaely loud, unless I ALSO, in addition to the 60+ themes in my game, go through the WHOLE WCW pack, re-save EVERY SINGLE MP3, in a much lower volume, export all of those, and remake the rar file and re-upload it, as well.
Quite honestly, if I got started on doing all of this stuff right now, it would take me well over 3 days of work from beginning to end if I went and did this.
And I really don't think I want to. In fact.... while Custom themes are my favorite feature, I think it's safe to say that unless you have an MP3 audio editor, this feature is pretty much broken, now.
God....... dammit. | |

| They also come out so loud, and you cannot adjust them individually of the rest of the game. So if you turn down your tv down to where the custom musics sound normal, the rest of the game is barely even audible. That's how absurd the difference in volume levels are with customs.
This is horribly ridiculous so far and such a terrible oversight that just about really ruins one of my favorite features that was ever introduced.
Not happy about that. | |

| *sigh* Well, I'm only going to bother with making 2 discs worth of about 30 themes (if that much), re-edit all of them with the volume remixed 70% lower, and that's it.
But i'm going to create everyone first that i'm making, and get that all figured out so I can know exactly how many damn themes I have to re-record onto my computer, shove them into an editor, spit them back out quieter, and then make 2 more discs, re-burn and re-make all my playlists all over again.
What's really annoying is that this is basically going to take me almost as long and as much effort as it would to take them through career mode in the last game. >_> Just to have the right music, that isn't going to sound ridiculous and/or wreck my speakers.

| I've pretty much been using Goldwave for a few years now. I honestly think it's superior to Audacity. | |

Same here. Well not having the TV muted but yeah, the custom themes are very important to me. I put a lot of time and effort into all of this, just to have to now edit every single song individually and reburn them and replaylist EVERY SINGLE ONE now. It's going to take at least 3 or 4 full days of tedious, tiring, boring, MP3 editing, burning and playlist making work for a great many themes, and I'm really not even up to it. I'm severely irritated by this.

Not exactly. No way to turn the Custom Music down indipentatly of the rest of the music in the game. If you try to turn the music volume down what it does is turn ALL the music down, entrances for the in-game characters and menu music. Which means that no matter what, the disparity between Custom Themes and In-Game Themes and sounds is ridiculously and unfairly huge. If you can get the custom music to the point where it's still loud but probably won't blow your speaker, all the rest of the music and most of the sound is like a barely audible whisper by comparasion. No matter what you do, Custom Themes will blare loudly and drown out all other music and most of the sound effects completely. Obviously someone didn't test this whatsoever before shipping the game.

| Hmm, shame But just to pick up something else you said there, I'm assuming you CAN still turn off menu music independently of entrance music? Because I hate menu music, but I want the entrance themes on. | |

| Unfortunately, you can't.
I guess they just went with one audio channel for all the game's music.
