At first I was like "That's it?" but then I saw that it said "Roster so far..."
Also, Macho Man what the fuck?!?!?? YAY.
And watching the match footage... hmm. Very interesting. Looks very different. We'll see if this is any fun when it comes out, but so far it looks cool, like i'd be able to do all that stuff. The controls sound very simple and easy to play, so... we'll see.

Sadly... I have a feeling that Savage got in...... While Hogan will not.
Hogan is the new blacklisted wrestler for them, I guess. If he wasn't announced in the initial batch, I have a feeling he won't be in the game. And without the ability to pitt Hogan against Savage, this game will definitely feel lacking in that way.
I mean, yeah, I think they realized that if Hogan is absent they needed to fill it with an equally big name to try and make the emptiness of Hogan not being in a legends game lessened somewhat. If Hulk Hogan is mentioned in the next roster reveal batch, then I think it would be safe to say that no matter how the rest of the game turns out, at least the roster will be worth it. But we'll see.

wow....im way more excited about Savage then I am sad about Hogan.
quite frankly....im tired of Hogan.
I respect the guy.....but Hogan always ends up in everything. Didnt he have like three different unlockable attires in one of the smackdown games?
Savage is great and is somebody I usually make on my Smackdown games. I've missed the guy a lot lately, and to see him to that promo shoot for the All Star game really got me going. Might pick this game up or at the least rent it first before I buy it.

I agree about Hogan. He was way overused in the games up until he and Vince had a falling out.
However, I just believe that in this case, now that Savage is in, Hogan is the perfect compliment and wouldn't feel right without his yin to Savage's.. um. other half. They are like the salt and pepper shakers of WWE Legends.

I agree with you both. I think that in a legends game they probably should be including Hogan. But I also agree with Steve that I wouldn't be too unhappy to have him missing because he's been done.
Plus I remember him having the slowest move in the world on one of the older SD games. You'd wait for years from him to do that leg drop...the guy could have slept off any blow and gone for dinner by the time he delivered it!

To be honest, I'd like to see Hogan in just because, as Mike says, a legends game without him feels like it has someone missing. However, if there is Savage and Steamboat, that means we can redo the best match from Wrestlemania 3, and I like the idea of that. All we need now is Warrior to be in (easy easily makeable) and we can redo the best match at Wrestlemania 7 as well.
Savage being in the game at all is a surprise, but him being featured prominently in actually cutting promos for the game is an even bigger surprise. If Savage was ever to be in a WWE game, I assumed it would be a grudging inclusion with no fanfare. But he's being put across as a main selling point.
I do wonder now if he's sorted his problems with the WWE, and if this will lead to the HOF.

And BTW, having now seen the game in action, I am actually looking forward to it a bit more again. It actually looks like it might be quite a laugh.

However. as a side note. I really think that what they ought to do is offer this game for a discount price, or it won't sell as much.
Smackdown vs Raw 2011, of course, people were willing to plunk down 60 dollars for, because of the insane replay value, customization, and Universe mode that keeps the game fresh for a long time as well as the whole sim feel.
But All-Stars is another story. This is one of those games that has to serve as a side-dish to SvR11 to be worth it, and it would just be plain smart to not ask anyone to pay more than $40 for it. That would definitely mean the difference between a pre-order and just waiting until it's on shelves before/if I possibly get it at my leisure thjat I may sell back when I complete it.

Well here in the UK most games are around the £39.99 mark at RRP, regardless. Occasionally you get a cheaper one, but not often.

I got SvR 11 brand new sealed for £22.99 a month ago!
On topic: fighting games ain't my thing. I probably wouldn't have bothered with SvR if y'all didn't have it and I wasn't the only one left out... I just wanna be cool...

UPDATE: The game is going to cost as much as a full game, equal to the price of Smackdown vs Raw 2011. In the US, that's $60.
Very bad move.
I just lost a lot of interest in this game, due to that unfair price. This, from all indications is going to be a side game clearly inferior to SvR11's depth, engine or replay value.
Which isn't something that would be that bad, if the price reflected this, as being a discount title, as it should be, and in fact basically is. A side dish to SvR.
But yeah. All-Stars is interesting. But in no way is it interesting enough for me to pre-order this for an overpriced $60.
This game just lost that "must buy on the day it comes out and pre-order" attraction. This is now officially the kind of game I might be curious enough to get 3 months after it comes out if the price goes down and preferably used, to see it.
Not worth the asking price, and a full priced title is ridiculous. Even being worth $40 is stretching it, frankly I think $30 is fair. But $60? Nope.
I'll wait and get this game when it's affordable and used. I honestly think I can get the game's full experience until then by watching Youtube playthroughs of other people, instead of paying a ridiculous amount for this.

I always fully expected it to be a full-price game. If Legends of Wrestlemania was, this was always going to be.
And while it may not have the life and depth of SVR11, its perfectly comparable to many other fighting games released on the system at full price.
I'm actually still quite interested in it.

Me too. It's just now a question of how much I was willing to spend for that.
Just thought I should say that before people think i'm changing my mind on the game itself.

NO WAY?!? Hogan and Warrior are in? AWESOME!!
"Although you can pin in matches, a majority of my matches ended with Finishing moves exhausting a player's health bar. This leads to a KO that's followed by a scene of the wrestler actually pinning the winning opponent. The same pin scene played after Bret Hart made a guy tap with the Sharpshooter, which I found a bit odd."
Pulled that quote from IGN, because the last bit made me laugh.

Warrior, Hogan, and Savage all in. That's it, cancel April, I shall be busy.
Obviously the "Pin" animation is a sort of end victory scene. I'm happy enough with that.

I've still seen no mention of Randy Orton, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan but Eddie G, Sgt Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka have been announced by THQ

Yeah, I wouldn't trust that either. Wrestlezone is a pretty unreputable site, and they're usually full of crap, so I wouldn't put it past them to have made that shit up, too.
Unless it comes from THQ who are the only people who truly know at this point, it's best to assume it's a load.

Yeah.
I was just coming to mention that now THQ HAS said it, since I just got a Facebook update from them confirming them.
So forget what I said above about Wrestlezon... well, actually. I'll just say they were right this time, at least.

And Warrior is basically in his Wrestlemania 6 costume, which is the best look for him. Awesome. Actually, as Savage has been shown with two costumes, I'm hoping Warrior and Hogan have two as well. nWo Hogan, and Warrior in his Mania 7 singlet would make this about Perfect....
Actually, no. Including Mr Perfect would make it about Perfect....
Oh and Jake the Snake as well while I'm doing a wish list.

Yeah, i'd love Perfect, but as far as everyone that's in it now, i'm good.
I've been seeing people on places say "boo, no Stone Cold, no sale", but personally if he isn't in it, that's fine with me.
Warrior, Hogan, and Savage. As long as those three miraculously made it in, I can't possibly complain about the roster now. Well for the legends side. I couldn't care less who does and doesn't make it in for the current generation side.
Now the only question left to remain is... is is a good game? THAT is the only question left now. Let's hope it is.

Well, they reckon 30 on the roster - so 15 current guys and 15 legends.
So we currently have
Hogan - Legend Warrior - Legend Savage - Legend Andre - Legend Eddie - Legend Slaughter - Legend Snuka - Legend Bret - Legend Rock - Legend Dibiase - Legend Steamboat - Legend
Orton - Current Cena - Current Rey - Current Sheamus - Current Morrison - Current Show - Current Triple H - Current Kofi - Current Dibiase Jr- Current
So four legend spots to be filled, and 6 current guys.
On the current guys, I expect:
Taker, Punk, Kane, Edge - almost certainly. Remaining two spots could be Swagger, Miz, Dolph, Wade, or maybe one or two others.
On the legends side:
HBK is almost certain to be in. I'd love to see Perfect, Jake, and either Rick Rude or Rick Martel. However, its really up for grabs.

Also, one thing about the game seems to be that everyone is apparently matched up with someone who has a similar attribute in common either physically or personality-wise, from the other generation so that's one aspect to this game in determining who will be in as well, most likely.
so far as I can disern, these are...
Savage vs Sheamus (powerhouse)
Cena vs Hogan (overpowered no-sellers)
Rey vs Steamboat (nimbleness)
Warrior vs Kofi (energy)
Andre vs Big Show (big big men)
Ted jr vs Ted sr (obvious reason)
Morrison vs Eddie (agile high flying technical entertaining showman)
Also, with Orton, I think a good excuse would be to have Stone Cold in. (Rattlesnake vs Viper)
Likewise CM Punk vs Bret Hart in the battle of controversial submission/technical guys
