Today is the eleventh of the eleventh, Armistice Day. A day to remember those who have sacrified their lives in conflicts around the world, from the Great War of 1914-18 to the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan. At 11am, we should pause for 2 minutes of silence as a mark of respect to our fallen men and women.
This is not a sign of support for the wars and conflict, so please don't turn this string into a debate on any of that. Regardless of your position on wars past, present, and probably future, its simply to remember those who didn't question the motivations, but who were simply willing to give everything, regardless of whether the reason they were sent there was misguided or not.
So at 11am this morning, just pause for a moment.
