Ziggler did it! So glad he's World Heavyweight champion, and the crowd loved it. Speaking of the crowd, they were excellent at RAW. They were hilarious.

That was definitely one of the most enjoyable episodes of RAW I've seen in years.

Miz drops the IC title after 24hours, Dolph finally gets the recognition he deserves, a great development in the Shield angle, and Ryback finally becomes interesting.

But of course it was the crowd this week that made it. Combine the already hot NY/NJ crowd with a large influence of European (mostly British) fans who had come over for Mania and it was just incredible, and certainly made the show. The pops for Ziggler were some of the most incredible I've ever heard at a RAW, and some of the other chants and reactions were just superb.

I loved it when they started humming Fandango's entrance theme - particularly during Cena's match when (fair play to him) he responded by doing the little dance. Also loved how annoyed and put off Orton looked during his match when it became perfectly obvious the crowd didn't give a toss and were content to amuse themselves with chants of of "Popcorn guy" "We are Awesome" "RVD" chanting for the commentators, and any other random thought that entered their collective heads. I burst out laughing when Show came down and attacked them both and the crowd, rather than booing the heel interrupting the face match, chanted "Thank you Big Show".

They even sang Mark Henry's theme as he walked out. Just magic. I really hope that when RAW is here in the UK in a couple of weeks, the crowd makes an effort to match that.

I agree, a really great show this week and one of the best RAW's in a long while. The crowd chanting everything they could think of including the commentators names, "RVD", "ECDub" was excellent. They cheered the heels, and gave Ziggler a lot of love. They even cheered Paul Heyman, who conveniently came on shortly after the "ECDub" chants.

It kind of makes me wish I had a ticket to the UK RAW in a couple of weeks. Would love to be a part of that chanting, if they give it as much as they did the other night. I really need to find the time and the money to get to more live wrestling shows in general, as the one I've been to was really fun.

There are a lot of live wrestling shows in the UK these days. Some are pretty bad, but many are very good (IPW:UK, RevPro etc) and are worth a look.

Seeing a show live is a much better experience than seeing it on TV. To this day I maintain that the hottest I have EVER seen a crowd was at IPW:UK when JC Thunder won the belt from Andy Simmonz. That crowd was RABID for Andy to lose and EXPLODED when he did.

Of course I've been lucky. I went to my first UK show when I was about 5 or 6 with guys like Mick McManus on the bill, and I also saw shows during the days of Big Daddy, Haystacks and Nagasaki. I did my first WWE show in 1991 and my first WCW one in 1993, and went to both several times after that. Nitro tapings, UK special events, UK PPVs, the lot. Then of course came Wrestlemania.

Fully appreciate its not easy to find the money to do it, or the time. Things fell right for me on occasion. But you can support local wrestling quite cheaply. Even a company like RevPro or IPW only charge about a tenner.

There's absolutely no local indy feds in my area, and there's very rarely any wrestling shows come this way.

You may need to travel a bit, its true. I mean I go to UK shows in Kent and Hampshire, about an hour-90 miniutes away. Are you North or South Wales? Only if North Wales then how far away are you from Liverpool, only good shows regularly go there.

I'm in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. It'd take 1 hour 45 minutes on the train to get to Liverpool, and would could £19.90 each way. Far too long, and far more than I can afford to spend out.
