I need your help to save my City (of Heroes)

You may or may not have heard that the game City of Heroes is shutting down on November 30th. The announcement that the game is to be shut down has come as a shock to not only the players of the game, but also to the online gaming community in general. The people who it came as the biggest shock to was the staff of Paragon Studios, the developers of the majority of gaming content for City of Heroes. They had no idea the game was going to be shut down, until the announcement was made on the games official forums. They were all laid off with immediate effect from the game they'd worked for so long to keep successful.

Nobody but NCsoft knows why the game is being shut down. It was still making profit, while Aion, another game from NCsoft, is currently losing money but is still staying open. There's plenty of rumors floating around as to why the game is being shut down, and any one of them could be true. The one thing for sure which isn't the reason for the games closure is a lack of success. Around a year ago, the game went free to play, and saw a vast increase in players.

For the past seven years, I've played this game without any long breaks (a few months off here and there). It's a game I grew to love very quickly, due to the massive amount of customisation options, the great gameplay, the constantly updated content, and most importantly the brilliant community which makes up the games player base. I'm among a huge amount of people who also love City of Heroes, and I know that it has the support of celebrities including best selling authors. The game has brought people together. I have friends who I first met in City of Heroes, and I know people who met ingame and eventually got married in real life. Seriously, this game has been a part of my life for a very long time, and I'll fight alongside the rest of the gaming community until the bitter end, to keep the game from shutting down for good. There are rumors of some major gaming companies including Sony Online Entertainment, who are looking to make bids to buy the game, but as of yet there's no news as to whether NCsoft even want to sell the rights to the game and its contents.

What I would really like from you all, is for you to spread the word of this amazing game and help me get as many people in support of it either staying open, or being sold on to another company which is willing to keep it open. Please help out, as this game is a big thing to me, and I'm genuinely upset that it may be gone very soon.
